Application
- Heating Pads: Acts as the key material in reusable hot packs through exothermic crystallization (often called “hot ice”).
- Food Industry: Serves as a seasoning or preservative to control acidity and stop bacterial growth.
- Textile Manufacturing: Neutralizes sulfuric acid waste streams and helps control pH during dye processes.
- Medicine: Included in intravenous (IV) fluids to fix low sodium levels or treat metabolic acidosis.
- Rubber Production: Slows down vulcanization to improve synthetic rubber quality.
- Leather Tanning: Functions as a pickling agent and buffer in chrome tanning

Storage
Environmental Requirements: Store in a sealed, dry, well-ventilated, and cool warehouse; recommended temperature range is 5–35°C. Avoid outdoor storage, exposure to rain, or direct sunlight.
Moisture Protection: The product is highly hygroscopic/deliquescent (anhydrous form) or prone to efflorescence (trihydrate form); seal the bag tightly immediately after opening. Store on pallets off the ground and away from walls to prevent moisture absorption.
Incompatibilities: Strictly prohibit storage or contact with strong acids (e.g., hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid), strong oxidizing agents, or corrosive gases.Handling Abnormalities: Minor caking can be broken up for normal use; this does not affect chemical properties.
