Application
- Glass Production: Lowers the melting point of silica and boosts clarity and refractive index for specialty glasses, television screens, and optical lenses.
- Food Processing: Acts as an acidity regulator (E501), used to “Dutch” cocoa powder, adjust wine acidity, and give ramen noodles their signature texture.
- Agriculture and Fertilizers: Supplies essential potassium to crops sensitive to chloride-based fertilizers like potatoes and tobacco.
- Soap and Detergents: Serves as a base in soft soap production and stabilizes liquid detergent formulas.
- Chemical Synthesis & Gas Scrubbing: Functions as a mild base or drying agent in labs and captures carbon dioxide in industrial gas streams via hot potassium carbonate systems.
Packaging
25KGS/BAG or 50KGS/BAG
Storage
Environmental conditions: Maintain a temperature of 5–35°C and low relative humidity; the storage facility must be well-ventilated, dry, and clean.
Packaging requirements: Containers must be securely sealed (plastic drums, glass bottles, or corrosion-resistant steel drums are recommended) to prevent moisture absorption leading to clumping or degradation caused by CO₂ absorption.
Segregated storage: Strictly prohibit storage in the same area as acids or moisture-sensitive items to avoid reactions that could release CO₂ or generate heat.
Container materials: Select materials that are corrosion-resistant, high-strength, and leak-proof; do not use materials that react with alkaline substances.
