Application
- Water Treatment: Acts as an oxygen scavenger in boiler systems to prevent corrosion and removes excess chlorine in municipal water or swimming pools.
- Pulp and Paper: Softens wood lignin during pulping and helps bleach paper products.
- Food and Beverage: Preserves dried fruits, wine, and processed foods by preventing browning and microbial growth.
- Textile and Leather: Bleaches fibers, removes residual chlorine after fabric bleaching, and treats tanning extracts.
- Photography: Protects film developer solutions from oxidation and helps wash away fixer chemicals.
- Chemical Manufacturing: Produces sodium thiosulfate, dyes, and various organic chemicals
